‧ Optioned RHP Cody Poteet, RHP Ron Marinaccio and LHP Nick Ramirez to
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
‧ Reassigned RHP Will Warren to minor league camp.
(2) @BryanHoch: Luis Gil will be the Yankees’ fifth starter, Aaron Boone
announced.
(3) @BryanHoch: DJ LeMahieu is a “long shot” to be ready for Opening Day,
Aaron Boone said.
3.1 @BryanHoch: Boone said he is comfortable with Oswaldo Cabrera as the
Opening Day 3B if LeMahieu isn’t ready
(4) @BryanHoch: Asked about Spencer Jones, Aaron Boone said Jones is “maybe
the fastest guy in the whole organization.”
(5) @BryanHoch: Alex Verdugo’s girlfriend is expecting a child and has been
admitted to a hospital, Aaron Boone said, which is why Verdugo was taken off
the Mexico City roster.
